Rate Rules
The reasons a rate is not the rack figure tonight — a weekend loading, a long-stay discount, an occupancy surcharge on a full house, a season. A property without them prices every night the same and re-keys the difference by hand.
Switch: Settings > Hotel > Rate Rules.
Where it appears
Setup › Rate Rules (shown when tariff plans and rate rules are both switched on), and the resolved rate on the check-in wizard.

Screens
- Rate Rules - name, what it tests, the window, and how much it moves the rate.
- Try a Night - the button above the list. Pick a tariff plan (it fills the base rate and room type), the night, the date it was booked, the nights and the house occupancy; it lists every rule that matches, in the order it applies, with the rate after each, and the room rate the night comes to. Each rule works on the rate left by the one before, and a fixed rule replaces the rate and stops the rest. Switched-off rules are left out. Meal-plan inclusions and extra guests are added on top, and tax is worked out on the bill at settlement.
- Check-in wizard - shows the resolved rate, which the desk can still override.
Switching off. Every rule stops applying and the tariff plan’s own rate is charged. Nothing is deleted — a season that ran last year is re-run rather than re-keyed.
