Restaurant Table Service

The table-service counter a restaurant uses, attached to the hotel: table orders, KOT to the kitchen and add-ons. A bill can be settled at the outlet or posted to a guest’s folio instead.

Switch: Settings > Hotel > Restaurant.

Where it appears

Hotel shell: a Restaurant entry appears with the table screen behind it. Switching this on also turns stock on, because a kitchen buys ingredients and issues them.

Flow

flowchart TD
    A[Table order taken] --> B[KOT to the kitchen]
    A --> C{Who pays?}
    C -->|walk-in diner| D[Settled at the outlet
ordinary counter sale] C -->|guest in house| E[Posted to the folio] E --> F[Settled at check-out with the room]
One outlet, two endings — the kitchen does not care which, and the KOT is the same either way.

Screens

Switching off. Nothing is dropped: the outlet is tombstoned rather than deleted, so table orders and their lines stay on disk and come back exactly as they were if it is switched on again.
