GST by Rate Band
Taxing a room night by what it CHARGES rather than by what it is. India moves a room across a GST slab when the season rate goes up, and a property billing every night at one rate is over-collecting off peak and under-collecting on it.
Switch: Settings > Hotel > GST by Rate Band.
Where it appears
A GST Slabs card on the hotel settings page, a band column on the settlement bill, and a GST by Slab report.
Flow

A[Nightly rate, net of concession] --> B{Which band?}

Screens
- GST Slabs - label, ceiling, rate and HSN/SAC. Lowest band first; leave the last ceiling blank so it catches everything above.
- Settlement bill - a room line per band, so a stay that crossed a slab says which nights were which.
- GST by Slab report - nights, taxable value and tax per band.
Switching off. Rooms bill at the room type’s own tax item again. The bands are kept, so switching back does not mean keying them a second time.
