Waitlist

What was asked for when the house was full. A party that could not be promised a room is kept on a list rather than lost in a phone log, and worked through the moment a cancellation frees one.

Switch: Settings > Hotel > Waitlist.

A waitlisted booking holds NOTHING. It blocks no inventory and it is not a promise — which is exactly what distinguishes it from a hold.

Waitlist report - oldest first, because that is the order a desk works it.

Switching off. The list simply stops being offered. Nothing is deleted, so a property that turns it back on finds its parties where it left them.
