Repairs

Repair, polishing, resizing and maintenance of a customer's own piece. The piece is taken in with its weight and a token, an estimate and advance are recorded, work is done in house or by a karigar, and the piece is returned with the labour and any added gold billed.

Switch: Settings > Jewellery > Repairs (under Services). Permission: Repairs.

Where it appears

Jewellery shell: Services > Repair Management. POS page: Jewellery > Repair Management.

The token is what the customer reclaims the piece against; the slip can be reprinted while the piece is with the shop.

Switch it on, put the master behind it in place, then do the first one — in that order, or the first one will not have anything to pick.
Switching off with pieces still in the shop warns at save.
