Job Cards

The workshop's job card and the ladder it climbs: received, estimated, approved, in progress, ready, delivered. Each rung asks for exactly what that step needs - an estimate wants a figure, an approval wants who said yes and how, a delivery wants the odometer out. A lube bay that bills at the counter leaves this off.

Switch: Settings > Projects > Job Cards (vehicle service). Permission: Create & Edit Job Cards.

Where it appears

Vehicle service shell: Job Cards group (On the Floor, Ready, Delivered, All), New Job Card in Quick Actions, the Technicians report. POS page for other trades: Projects > Job Cards.

A card moves one rung at a time; delivery is the rung that also writes the vehicle's service memory.

Setting it up

odometer · complaint · promised time] C --> D[Estimate · get approval · assign a technician] D --> E[Ready · deliver with the odometer out] E --> F[Boards fill up as work flows through]
Switch it on, put the master behind it in place, then do the first one — in that order, or the first one will not have anything to pick.

Reports

Technicians (jobs and value per technician), Job Cards > All as the intake register, Service Vouchers.

Switching off with cards still on the floor warns at save.
